Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1989 serial Battlefield starring Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor these are the original handcuffs used to restrain Ancelyn (Marcus Gilbert) in episode two. The cuffs were custom made by the BBC Visual Effects Department and are superbly constructed from 20mm perspex, fully functional with bolt hinges to either side and a rotating locking device to the centre, dressed with various EMA plastic parts and finished with green paint over grey primer.

The handcuffs measure an impressive 9" x 5" and remain in excellent production used condition exhibiting minor paint wear and rusting to the metal part of the central locking device which remains functional, overall fine.

A unique and highly displayable artefact from this classic science fiction series.
